Morton® Blizzard Wizard®

Morton® Blizzard Wizard® is a type 2 treated salt that contains a mixture of deicing rock salt and a proprietary liquid treatment containing magnesium chloride (MgCl2) and an organic based performance enhancer (OBPE) in the form of sugar cane molasses. Blizzard Wizard is pre-mixed to produce an evenly blended product, so no special equipment is required. This pre-mixed liquid treatment allows Blizzard Wizard to melt snow and ice faster than untreated salt. Blizzard Wizard also works in temperatures as low as 0°F.

Additionally, the Blizzard Wizard liquid treatment acts as an enhanced anti-caking agent as well as a natural corrosion inhibitor, which means improved handling and longer equipment life. And finally the liquid treatment reduces bounce and scatter which means more material stays on the road for longer-lasting, targeted treatments compared to untreated salt.

Morton Blizzard Wizard is available for purchase throughout the U.S. East Coast. For more information on Morton Blizzard Wizard, please contact your Morton Salt sales representative.
